Chris Sifuentes
Chris moved to Texas in 1984, after completing a Fashion Merchandising degree from Oklahoma State University. In December 2018, after a 27 year telecommunications career, she retired from AT&T.
Chris started her oil painting journey in January 2019 when she joined the Over 55 painting class at the Grapevine REC. She had a love of Southwest Art through many trips to Santa Fe and Taos so many of her early paintings reflected the art from this region.
Chris has expanded her painting into different art forms. One of her newest paintings, Reflexiones de Mexico, won the Still Life blue ribbon at the 2023 State Fair of Texas. She continues working with her mentor, Jane Siebenthall, at the Grapevine REC, with a goal to move into a professional artist role as a second career.
